A Florida man who owes nearly $120,000 in back child support in Maine was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland to serve five years of probation. Glen S. Caristinos, 49, of Safety Harbor, Florida, was ordered by Judge Nancy Torresen as a condition of his probation to pay $117,600 in restitution. Caristinos had been ordered in 2001 by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to pay his ex-wife $248 per week in child support.
