At Mayor Lenny Curry’s request, Nancy Soderberg resigned “with deep regret” this week from the JaxPort board with two years remaining on her four-year term. Soderberg, who served as an ambassador in President Bill Clinton’s administration and ran as the Democratic Party’s nominee for a state Senate seat in 2012, is the third appointee of Mayor Alvin Brown who’s been asked by Curry to resign in mid-term from high-profile city boards.
