Former El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa on Wednesday was indicted by a grand jury on nine charges - including six felonies. Maketa resigned Dec. 31, 2014, before the end of his third and final term. Maketa, 51, faces felony charges of extortion, conspiracy to commit extortion, witness tampering, conspiracy to commit witness tampering, false imprisonment and kidnapping.
