GALLOWAY Daily Journal JACKSON – A former city court clerk was arrested by state agents and charged with embezzling more than $200,000 Monday. The State Auditor’s Office arrested former New Albany Municipal Court Clerk Jennifer Galloway after she was indicted on one count of embezzlement by a Union County Grand Jury. In addition to today’s arrest, Galloway was issued a demand for $334,680.64, which includes interest and recovery costs. OSA agents provided evidence to prosecutors that Galloway did not deposit a total of $206,648.80 in cash bonds and court fines received. Galloway was employed as clerk from April 2009 through October 2013.
