Patrick Nero, who worked as the athletic director at the University of Maine from 2003 to 2005, was caught in a lewd video with students before his abrupt departure from another school late last year, the website Deadspin reported Thursday. Named a national Athletics Director of the Year just nine months earlier, Nero resigned from his job at George Washington University in December of 2017 under the explanation he was leaving to “pursue the next phase” of his career. But the website’s biggest reveal came in the form of a video that appears to show Nero partying with students and making obscene gestures, including straddling one student and simulating a sex act.
