Ga. Wildlife Officials Note Uptick In Bald Eagle Nests

SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. (AP) — Georgia wildlife officials say they've documented the highest ever number of bald eagle nests in the state. Officials from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources say 210 occupied nesting territories and 166 successful nests have been documented in Georgia. Officials say bald eagles had nearly vanished from Georgia 40 years ago before the population began rebounding.
