With interest in the property on the uptick, officials in Garden City are taking steps to prep about 20 acres of real estate in the Town Center for future sale. City Manager Ron Feldner said Tuesday Garden City council members have instructed him to hire a land appraiser to determine the value of the Town Center property around City Hall on Dean Forest Road — figures that could later be used to solicit sealed bids. “Based on the interest that has been expressed by numerous potential buyers, the City Council has instructed me to engage the services of a land appraiser to establish pricing (and) sales figures for the various parcels of land at Town Center,” Feldner wrote in an email Tuesday.
