WALLINGFORD >> It was a night for beginnings and endings for graduating Gateway Community College students and their president.The college is celebrating its 25th year this year and its fifth year in its new downtown New Haven campus. For the last 18 of those years, Dorsey Kendrick has led the college, but Thursday's graduation ceremonies at the Oakdale Theater were her last before she retires next month.
