Giants, Red Sox, Padres seem to be Sandoval’s main suitors Pablo Sandoval will accept a contract offer this week from one of three teams: the Giants, Red Sox or Padres, according to industry sources. Giants assistant general manager Bobby Evans, after speaking with Vasquez on Thursday morning, had suggested that the third baseman could make his decision before Thanksgiving and that the Sandoval camp asked the Giants to submit their best offer. Three weeks ago, Vasquez said a six-year deal would be reasonable, considering his client’s accomplishments at a relatively young age (28). Sandoval, who has played in the Giants’ system for 11 years and broke into the majors in 2008, hit .279 with 16 homers and 73 RBIs in 157 games this year.
