Jared Golden of Maine’s 2nd District called for the resignation of the acting Navy secretary on Tuesday over comments the secretary made criticizing a now-dismissed captain who asked for help in late March as more than one hundred sailors were sickened by the coronavirus. Golden, a Democrat, joined several other members of the House Armed Services Committee in asking Thomas Modly to resign.
