By Gene Phelps Daily Journal CORINTH – Trent Hammond had a passionate message for his Tupelo team following Friday’s 24-14 win against Corinth. “We’ve got to learn to finish,” he told his troops. “We were good enough tonight to win.” The Golden Wave (1-1), the Journal’s No. 5-ranked large school, bounced back from last week’s season-opening three-point loss to Clarksdale. Tupelo senior quarterback Daniel Bristow threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to running back Kegan Huddleston early in the third quarter to give the Wave a 21-7 lead.
