More than 140 Google Express workers have filed to hold a vote to form a union with the Teamsters. The warehouse and shipping workers are employed by Adecco, which operates Google’s shopping delivery service. Teamsters Local Union 853 has raised concerns about Adecco’s operations, including “constant harrassment to work faster in poor conditions that includes damaged equipment, cracked floors and failing electrical systems that have resulted in fires.” Rome Aloise, Teamsters Local 853 principal officer, said in a statement: “The reports we have received from workers at Google Express paint a bleak picture.” Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
