The big budget project has Damon as a soldier in China during the construction of The Great Wall and has already come under criticism from at least one corner for it being yet another period film about a white guy in a foreign land who ends up saving a civilization. "Fresh Off The Boat" actress Constance Wu took to social media to voice her distaste for the project, saying it "perpetuates the racist myth that only a white man can save the world.
