Frank Grillo is in final negotiations to join the third film in "The Purge" franchise at Universal, Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes. The story is set in a future where one day each year all crime is legalized for a twelve-hour period. Grillo would reprise the role of Sergeant, a man who seeks revenge on the night of the Purge only to get pulled into protecting a group of people left without shelter. James DeMonaco is penning and directing the new entry which Jason Blum, Sebastien Lemercier, Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing.
