Gunfire Leaves Guard Dead At Sw Houston Apartments

A security guard was shot to death early Friday morning at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. The shooting occurred about 12:30 a.m. at 9700 Leawood near Elmcroft, according to the Houston Police Department. Police said it was unclear what led to the gunfire. However, the guard apparently had a confrontation with the suspect and was shot.
