Hawaii Public Utilities Commission Chair Randall Iwase is retiring from public office in late December to spend more time with his family. Gov. David Ige said on Friday that he accepted Iwase's resignation, effective Dec. 28. The 70-year-old Iwase informed Ige about his decision in a letter dated Nov. 9. “Randy Iwase has played a key role at the Public Utilities Commission during a time of transition.
