The Hayden Pass fire continues to burn, but fewer crews are working the fire lines, according to the Hayden Pass fire Twitter account. The estimated date for full containment is Oct. 1, officials said. Firefighters will work to keep flames away from homes but largely will allow the fire to burn itself out. The fire, caused by a July 10 lightning strike, last increased in size from Friday to Saturday, and only by about 30 acres.
