Trinity Montigny of Ellsworth High School, who last season eclipsed the 1,000-point career scoring mark, is going to remain an “Eagle.” The senior guard has announced that she plans to continue her education and her playing career in the fall at Husson University in Bangor. The 5-foot-6 Montigny averaged 17.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.8 steals, and 3.5 rebounds for coach Andy Pooler’s team, which finished at 11-9 after a Class B North quarterfinal loss to Waterville. Montigny was selected as the Big East Player of the Year and was a three-time, all-conference, first-team pick.
