Hiker Impaled By Stick After Falling Off Trail On Mount Tom

HOLYOKE, Mass. — A hiker required rescue this weekend after she fell off a trail at Mount Tom State Reservation in Holyoke and was impaled by a stick.The Republican newspaper reports  it took two hours for three firefighters, one police officer and two reservation employees to reach the victim after the initial call reporting her fall was placed around 1:15 p.m.
