Hilcorp To Demolish Downtown Building Across The Street From New Tower

A downtown tower owned by the Hildebrand family’s Hilcorp Ventures will be demolished, the Houston Chronicle reports. The 10-story Americana Building at 811 Dallas will be torn down, but the building’s 550-car parking garage will remain, the Chronicle reports. A portion of the garage will remain open during construction, and the rest should reopen early next year. The Americana Building is across the street from Houston-based Hilcorp Energy Co.’s new headquarters.
