SNOWMASS VILLAGE — There are two reasons I’ve found to board a snowcat. One is to reach backcountry hillsides where seemingly endless powder lies deep and untracked. The other is to escape the mundane and venture up the slopes to savor a gourmet dinner high on the mountain. That’s what my wife and I did on a ski outing to Snowmass. Our destination was Lynn Britt Cabin, a historic log structure dating back to the early 1900s.
