An army of volunteer bakers is preparing 1,200 apple pies for sale at the Waterford Recreation Center on Williams Lake Road this week."We use 80 bushels of apples," said Sharon Hunt, recreation supervisor.The money made from selling the pies -- available in crust-top, crumb-top or sugar-free -- at $12 apiece benefits the township's 50+ recreation programs.
