ALBANY — Hoosick Falls officials will hold an open emergency meeting at 7 p.m. Monday to discuss "concerns related to our legal representation," according to a public notice posted to the village's website. The meeting of the Village of Hoosick Falls' Board of Trustees comes after months of controversy over a proposed legal settlement between the village and Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics and Honeywell International, the two companies identified as the likely sources of the toxic chemical perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, in the municipal water system as well as private wells.
