For more than a century, the Broadmoor has welcomed travelers to Colorado Springs with its elegant decor, high-end amenities and mountain views. Now, fans of the historic resort can spend the night inside one of its guest rooms — while sailing around the world on a cruise ship. Windstar Cruises, a sister company to the 106-year-old hotel, has created near-exact replicas of Broadmoor rooms onboard several of its ships.

But exactly how much prices will increase remains a source of debate, with estimates ranging from less than a nickel to 60 cents per gallon — which would push gas above $4 a gallon for the first time in two years. Gas stations in a nine-county region must sell reformulated gasoline from June 1 to Sept.

Christina Carlson, the organization’s CEO, and city housing officials say the building sets a new standard for spaces built to serve homeless youth, with a design aimed at meeting the needs of people dealing with trauma. “Youth are different — and they need something different,” Carlson said of the shelter, dubbed the Mothership, which is set to begin opening in July. The building is the result of eight years of planning and financial scrounging.

Just before he left Tennessee and relocated to Denver, his truck was stolen and his ex-girlfriend’s mother was killed in a carjacking. “Where I’m from, there are no rock climbers,” said Martin, a professional mountaineer, filmmaker and storyteller who moved to Denver in December of 2022.

So we asked them, and all Denver Post readers, to share their mini-reviews with you. Have any to offer?
More | Talk | Read It Later | ShareA lot of wide receivers know what to say when they get asked about the dirty work that is usually an afterthought for a glamor position. Of course, blocking is important. Yeah, we take pride in it. A big block can be as consequential as catching a touchdown. Josh Reynolds? The glint in his eye when the subject comes up during organized team activities gives away two things simultaneously: First, this isn’t just lip service.
