When Nancy Carr, a writer living in Florida, rescued an adorable boxer named Lucy in 2008, she had no idea the amount of stability it would bring her.  Carr, who wrote about her experience with Lucy for XOJane, knew she wanted a dog, but she told HuffPost Live's Nancy Redd on Tuesday that she had to "get her life in order" and get sober before she made the commitment.
