Director Ruben Fleischer has gone into detail about how a film about Venom works without his nemesis Spider-Man. "There's more than enough Venom to go around," Fleischer told IGN at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. "There's plenty to mine just from Tom 's performance, the character, and the world he inhabits." The Venom director explained that the film's exploration of Eddie Brock's relationship with the symbiote is what makes it unique. "It's a really unique movie because it's about a relationship," he said.
