A $12.9 million plan to renovate and expand the Huntley Area Public Library was approved without opposition during a library board meeting last week. The multimillion-dollar price tag would be raised by the issuance of bonds in that amount to be retired after 20 years. Up to $400,000 the library has on hand also would be available for the project, according to library district documents. Library director Frank Novak said the bond issuance would require a referendum. A public meeting is set for 5 p.m.
