Hurricane Woman Admits Defrauding Business

Staff reports A Hurricane woman admitted Monday to defrauding a Putnam County off-road accessories business. Sandra Ball, 58, pleaded guilty in federal court in Huntington to two felony counts of wire fraud, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin's office. As auditor of the business, Ball transferred money from Mountaineer 4x4's checking account to her personal credit card between 2008 and 2013 to pay for personal items and expenses.
