Hurricanes Add Ray Whitney To Scouting Staff

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes have added former forward Ray Whitney to their full-time professional scouting staff. General manager Ron Francis on Wednesday also announced the retirement of the team's director of pro scouting, Marshall Johnston. The 75-year-old Johnston has spent the past 11 years in the Hurricanes' organization and also worked with New Jersey, Ottawa and Chicago. The 44-year-old Whitney scored 385 goals and had 679 assists while playing for eight teams from 1991-2011.Read more on NewsOK.com
