I was recently in Milan to visit a friend and to spend a couple of days revisiting this city. One the most impressive sites is the Duomo, the Gothic cathedral in the heart of the city, surrounded by upscale shops of many of today’s most famous fashion designers. The Duomo is impressive for many reasons, but what struck me the most is that it took nearly 600 years to complete.
