Similar Stories to Inexpensive Mile Point Fix Won't Work, Corps Says on Bing News

Jacksonville Port Authority CEO Paul Anderson said Friday afternoon the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has decided that a partial fix to a major navigational problem in the St. Johns River would not work. The proposed $3 million project to alleviate the navigation issue known as Mile Point, which restricts large container ships from calling on the port about two-thirds of the day, is the largest obstacle to the port’s growth.
