Layoffs At Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Corp (NYSE: NOC) is eliminating 150 high-tech job at its Apopka laser systems facility; nearly 14 percent of the work force there, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Many of the workers involved already have taken voluntary buyouts. The remaining 90 will be terminated in March. The layoffs are attributed to Defense Department budget cuts. NOC has been trending upward for most of the last six months.
