Initiative Aims To Help Traumatized Children

By Erin Beck West Virginia State Police and several other police agencies in the state are participating in a new initiative to make sure schools are empathetic toward children exposed to violence, officials announced at a press conference on Tuesday. The West Virginia Center for Children's Justice -- a collaboration of the state Department of Health and Human Resources, U.S Attorney Booth Goodwin's office and State Police -- will provide the training for the Handle with Care program.
