International Civil Rights Icon Nathaniel Jones Dies At 93

Nathaniel Jones, a worldwide civil rights activist who made his home in Cincinnati serving on the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, passed away early Sunday morning from congestive heart failure. Jones, 93, was general counsel to the NAACP from 1969 to 1979, where he directed efforts to desegregate public schools throughout the country, argued cases before the U.S.
