Investment Fraud That Bilked $1.6m Nets Prison Term

Anthony Renfrow was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison for his role in an online investment fraud scheme that bilked 200 victims out of more than $1.6 million. Renfrow, of Folsom, Calif., founded an internet-based "company" called 14DailyPlus.com. The company offered "investors" a chance to pay a membership fee, promising they would receive a 14 percent daily return on their money over a period of 10 days, simply by viewing a minimum number of advertising sites for Fortune 500 companies…
