Efforts to increase clean fuels use in the Jacksonville area have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities program. The North Florida Clean Fuels Coalition works with vehicle fleets, fuel providers, community leaders and other stakeholders to reduce petroleum use. The effort has helped result in more than a hundred alternative fueling stations in the area, according to the U.S.
