Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, who bought The Washington Post a year ago, has replaced publisher Katharine Weymouth, last of the fabled Graham family that has run the U.S. capital’s flagship daily newspaper for four generations. Weymouth will be succeeded by Fred Ryan, ex-president of Politico, which has emerged as the Post’s chief competitor in political coverage of Washington, D.C.
