A Jefferson County serial rapist is one of the state's most wanted fugitives after Texas Department of Public Safety officials say he removed his ankle monitor and escaped from an Austin halfway house last week. Since 2005, Thompson has been under the supervision of the state's civil commitment program for offenders deemed to be sexually violent predators.
