Word came earlier this week that Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass would return to the Bourne franchise for Universal, despite the pair’s seemingly definitive departure from the series after 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum. That report indicated that the new film would supplant the already in development follow-up to the side-quel The Bourne Legacy, which starred Jeremy Renner.
If you see one film about walled-in males this fall, it should be the savage and powerful British prison drama "Starred Up," a superlatively acted father-son story played out behind bars and starring up-and-coming Jack O'Connell.
Not many are likely to make that choice, though, as "The Maze Runner," based on the James Dashner 2009 fantasy novel, will surely multiply the business of "Starred Up" many times over with a far more tame film barely distinct from the hordes of young-adult sci-fi adaptations sprinting through movie theaters.
Dylan O'Brien, best known as one of the stars of MTV's "Teen Wolf," stars as Thomas, a newbie to a strange prison called "The Glade" — a pastoral park surrounded by a monolith concrete maze.
Under the leadership of the calm Alby (Ami Ameen) and the more questionable rigidity of Gally (Will Poulter), they make exploratory runs into the maze each day before the gate closes at sundown.
The Maze Runner" a 20th Century Fox release, is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for "thematic elements and intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, including some disturbing images.
Paranormal Activity 5 has a new title and release date.
Paramount has announced that its new name is Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. The release date has been bumped from its original October 24, 2014, slot to March 23, 2015. Significantly, that means it won't be out in time for Halloween.
This is the second time the film's release date has been moved; it was originally set for release in October 2013.
Gregory Plotkin is directing for the first time. Writer-producer Christopher Landon, who's been with the horror franchise since Paranormal Activity 2, discussed the series' future in a recent interview.
Former "Doctor Who" leading star Matt Smith has joined the cast of the film adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith satirical novel "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies".
After many stops and starts, the long gestating horror-comedy finally goes in front of the cameras next week under the helm of Burr Steers. Smith will play Mr.
