By Lacie Pierson A Clendenin man will remain in jail without bond on charges of first-degree murder and malicious wounding. Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Joanna Tabit on Thursday denied a motion to set bond for Randall Douglas Woods, 62, who is accused of shooting two of his neighbors on Aug. 23, killing one and injuring the other. Woods' attorneys filed a motion requesting Tabit set a $100,000 bond and allow Woods to be released from jail and placed under home confinement, where he could stay with his wife, saying Woods' age and health rendered him in no condition to stay at the South Central Regional Jail. David Elmore, 31, died in the 3900 block of Laurel Fork Road, and Cora Elmore, 38, suffered a gunshot wound to her arm after Woods was alleged to have fired one shot into their vehicle just after 1 p.m.
