Plantation-based perfume company AB Diversified Industries wants to build a new headquarters.
On Tuesday, the city’s Development Review Committee will consider the proposal of 6801 W Sunrise Blvd LLC, managed by AB Diversified Principal Arvinder Bajaj, for a 103,901-square-foot facility. The plan would require city commission approval at a later time.
The company acquired the 52,000-square-foot building formerly occupied by Sear’s for $2.6 million in 2014.
Princeton, New Jersey-based PeriGen, which specializes in perinatal software, has acquired the the WatchChild Fetal Monitoring System from Hill-Rom Holdings Inc.
The deal closed Sept. 21, according to Catherine Tabaka, president of Hill-Rom’s Patient Support Systems Specialty Products business, and will see PeriGen relocate its corporate headquarters to Cary. Tabaka said financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

Nearly 40 years ago, the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC) set its sights on the abandoned Haffenreffer Brewery, which had become a blighted property and neighborhood eyesore.
Five years later, the JPNDC had raised the funds necessary to purchase and renovate the brewery, which today houses 50 businesses and employs more than 500 people.
One of those small business owners is Tony Williams, owner of the Tony Williams Dance Center.
