Kids Are Increasingly Cared For By Grandparents And Other Relatives, Including In Oregon

The nation is seeing a growing trend in which children are being raised by grandparents, other relatives or close family friends, according to a report released today by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. But state and local agencies can do more to encourage the practice, which generally is preferable to kids being raised by non-relatives.
