Russ Dispense, president of King Soopers and City Market, has retired from his position after 15 years in the post and 51 years with parent company Kroger Co. Dispense announced his retirement today, a King Soopers spokesperson confirmed late Tuesday. King Soopers and City Market are regional subsidiaries of Cincinnati-based Kroger (NYSE: KR). Dispense began his career with King Soopers in 1965 as a bag boy at a Lakewood store that is no longer operating.
