Kings In Raleigh Sued Over The Term 'barcade'

A Brooklyn, New York-based arcade-themed bar chain has filed a lawsuit against Raleigh’s Kings Barcade, alleging trademark infringement over the term “BARCADE." Barcade Inc. accuses Kings of “trademark cybersquatting” in its complaint, on the grounds that Barcade Inc. has held the trademark registration on the term BARCADE since 2008. Kings' owners Benjamin Barwick, Paul Siler, Steve Popson and Cheetie Kumar are all named in the suit as defendants. Kings originally opened in July of 1999…
