The Knicks' season officially ended on Wednesday but it was doomed in early December when James Dolan vetoed a trade for Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry. Dolan, the Chairman of Madison Square Garden, was reluctant to give up a first round pick to the Raptors especially since Toronto GM Masai Ujiri received a first round pick from the Knicks in exchange for Andrea Bargnani.
