KINGSPORT — Winning a championship takes countless hours of practice and a meticulous work ethic. Kevin Lacey of Cincinnati played at the Kingsport Putt-Putt course a few times over the past three weeks, and the time paid off Sunday. Lacey won the Tournament Players Championship with a final eight-round 213 total, a scoring average of 26.6 per round. In the last tournament, Lacey took a heartbreaking defeat in an 18-hole playoff at the Eastern Open in White Lake, N.C. “It feels good to come here and get the win,” Lacey said.
