GATE CITY — Union's volleyball team overcame the first 12 opponents it faced this season. But all those matches put together weren't sufficient to prepare the Lady Bears for the 13th.Gate City's depth, power and speed of play proved overwhelming for previously unbeaten Union, which succumbed 25-15, 25-18, 25-7 in a Clinch Mountain Conference 40 showdown Tuesday night."I take responsibility because I don't think we had a challenging enough schedule before we saw them," said Union coach Kim Moore, herself a Gate City player alumna.
