Lake Wales Oks Budget, Utility Plan

The City Commission gave initial approval to a $12.8 million budget for 2015-16 that includes a property tax rate reduction and a utility rate increase on Thursday night. The commission also voted for a five-year capital investment plan during the meeting that was delayed from Tuesday so residents would have more time to look at the budget.
