As boomer shooters go Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun got an awful lot right and tying the genre together with the Warhammer license was a masterstroke. So much so that we now have the game’s first DLC, Forges of Corruption to contend with. Is it more of the same – of course it is and that’s just what people wanted.
Forges of Corruption brings with it five new levels alongside new weapons such as the Multi Melta or the new missile launcher which will make mincemeat of the bad guys.
Inevitably, to contend with these new weapons we also have some new harder-core enemies and their weaponry including the monstrous Helbrute, the heavy weapon-wielding Havoc, and the vicious lightning claws of the Terminator.
Lord of the Fallen, a moderately successful Soulslike from Hexworks, is set to see a sequel in 2026, and it might be an Epic Games exclusive.
The sequel, which is codenamed “Project 3” and will be the third game in the series, was the subject of a recent filing in Poland that confirmed a target of 2026 for the game.
According to the filing shared on the Polish financial news website Bankier.pl, developers Hexworks and publishers CI Games have signed a deal with Epic Games which “grants Epic the exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the sequel of the game “Lords of the Fallen” (working title: Project 3) (the”Game”) on the PC platform for the entire product life cycle.”
The 2023 game being called Lord of the Fallen has caused some confusion — CI Games published a game with the same name but by a different developer (Deck 13) back in 2014.

In a video posted on X, a user shared a clip of a Valorant console match coming to a sudden end, with a bright red screen and the words “CHEATER DETECTED” emblazoned across it.
Picture the scene – it’s E3 2004, new games are being announced, and the trailer for Age of Pirates: Captain Blood catches your eye. It looks like a real romp of a game, a pirate brawler with sarcastic vibes. You can imagine the couch co-op fun ahead.
Later in the year, rumors trickle their way down to you that Captain Blood is being delayed by a huge redevelopment effort, and it’s going to be some time before release.
We have covered a few exceptional Minecraft builds in recent times here at Readwrite Gaming, the most recent being the stunning recreation of Chernobyl – a Minecraft build that actually made me watch the HBO series again.
Now for something a little less riddled with disaster (no jokes from me) a 1:1 recreation of the City of Kansas, entirely in Minecraft.
I mean, where do you actually start with this one?
