Gov. Rick Scott's drive to purge Florida's voting rolls of noncitizens has alarmed theU.S. Justice Department and other critics. They warn that many of the 2,600 people on the state's list of possibly ineligible voters are there by mistake, and could be wrongly denied their right to cast ballots.
